Survive & Thrive Cancer Recovery Program
Brought to you by our own Elizabeth Rogers, Zen Den’s Survive & Thrive program is for anyone with cancer, or who has had cancer. Twice a week, free Reiki share with Elizabeth & other great practitioners soothes pain & anxiety. Gather together in a safe, peaceful and tranquil environment. ZEN DEN, the new healing center in Norwell, is excited to announce it’s new Survive & Thrive Cancer Recovery Program. The program, created for those undergoing treatment for, and recovering from cancer, will begin the week of 10/17/16. Zen Den offers a safe, peaceful and beautiful environment where those living with cancer can go to relax and be lovingly supported as they heal. The program will include many different healing modalities, such as a gentle yoga class on Tuesday mornings, 10:30-11:30, and free, 45-minute Reiki Shares, on both Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:15, and Friday mornings, 11-11:45. Following each Reiki Share, there will be an opportunity for all participants to gather and converse, connect and share with others on similar healing journeys. Other offerings include such options as Float Therapy for rejuvenation, Infrared Sauna for detoxification, acupuncture, meditation, and massage.
In addition to the Survive & Thrive yoga class, all other yoga classes at Zen Den will also be available. Currently, the yoga schedule is as follows: Mondays: Vinyasa @ 8:30am, Yin Yang Flow @ 4pm, and Aerial Yoga @ 7:30pm; Tuesdays: Hatha @ 9:15am, Senior Yoga @ 11:30am, and Vinyasa @ 6pm; Wednesdays: Yin Yang Flow @ 9:15am, and Restorative @ 7:15pm; Thursdays: Aerial Yoga @ 9:30am, Senior Yoga @ 11:30am, Hatha @ 4pm, and Kundalini @ 6pm; Fridays: Vinyasa @ 9:15am; Saturdays: Aerial Yoga @ 11am; and Sundays: Vinyasa @ 9am.
Yoga teacher and Reiki master, Elizabeth Rogers – a 20 year breast cancer survivor, will facilitate the Survive & Thrive program. As a survivor and thriver herself, she is passionate about helping people move through their recovery with optimism, self-empowerment, and gentle nurturing. She understands the challenges cancer can bring, and is committed to helping each participant work his or her way back to health and wholeness.
